Experience working with a wide range of performers, including classical musicians, high school athletes, and collegiate athletes and teams at the Division I, II, and III levels
I am a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) currently living and working in Boston, MA. I attended the University of Richmond for my undergraduate studies, where I played Division I field hockey and pursued my degree in Psychology. I later received my Master’s degree in Counseling at Boston University in 2021, specializing in sport and performance psychology. As a CMPC thus far, I have had the pleasure of working with a wide range of performers, including classical musicians, high school athletes, and collegiate athletes and teams at the Division I, II, and III levels.
In my practice, I am a firm believer in a person-centered, collaborative approach that meets the athlete where they need. Pursuing performance excellence is about more than just improving the physical – it’s about the whole person, their desires, and their experiences both in and out of performance. I therefore incorporate both mental skills education/training and therapeutic techniques when working with performers. I also recognize that opening up about the mental and emotional side of performance can be a difficult step to take. For this reason, I keep the therapeutic relationship at the forefront, to create an environment that allows for trust, meaningful exploration, and taking risks aimed at helping performers achieve their goals.
When I’m not working with athletes, you’ll likely find me either out exploring Boston, inside with a book (and watching Love Island UK, if a new season is out of course), or looking after my gecko, who likes to poke her head out and watch during virtual sessions.
